Dar es Salaam volunteering

Art in Tanzania is based in Bahari Beach, in an idyllic coastal location 20km north of Tanzania’s largest city Dar es Salaam. Volunteers and interns are accommodated in a volunteer's hotel 5 minutes away from the Indian Ocean, with numerous local amenities within walking distance and easy access to the attractions in Dar es Salaam and the Bagamoyo area.

Most of the Dar es Salaam placements are at walking distance. Our Dar es Salaam volunteering and internship program is well developed and you can participate in many sectors as in teaching, orphanage, social work, HIV, sports, music, arts, construction, furniture making, marketing, hostelry, fund raising etc sectors.

We have various specialized placements available as well as music production, music & dance, journalism, photographing, graphic designing, film making and so on.

Dar es Salaam is starting point for our Selous, Ruaha and Mikumi safaris.You can also visit Zanzibar for weekends as well as visit some great beach resorts around. Dar es Salaam is one of those never sleeping towns and you find live music and nightlife every evening.

Volunteering in Dar es Salaam costs US$250 per week and the work permit - study implementation fee is usd 200. For internship you pay USD 10 per week more with more intensive guiding and internet access included.

What's included?
